Fiedler discusses more than 50 common conditions in her book - you name it, it's probably in there. (I even found some helpful tips on heartburn... woot woot!) For each condition, she describes the problem and symptom(s), and then provides natural remedy information - diet, nutrition, supplements, herbs and alternative therapies.
The second book, Idiot's Guide to Organic Living, is also pretty sweet. It's authors, Eliza Sarasohn and Sonia Weiss, both well-known and respected journalists and authors, provide great information on organic food, organic landscaping and gardening, natural beauty, organic fashions and designs. My favorite section was that of organic cooking because it provided ridiculously delicious (and fairly simple) recipes. Yum Yum. Sometimes you'll have to shop around to find the ingredients, but it's worth it.
So, want to get your hands on one of these books? Well, here's how you do it: Post/Comment your own tip for going green - can be cooking, cleaning, skin care, health, or what have you. For every tip you post, I will enter you once in a drawing for the books. So, mathematically speaking, the more times you post, the better your chances... There will be two winners chosen. The first name who is drawn will have their choice between the two books. The second name will get the other book.
You have until end of day next Friday. Sound good?
Ok, go!

Keep water in your refrigerator. If you want cold water, it's right there. You don't have to run the faucet while you wait for cold water.
Awesome tip, Sarah! Got any others?
walk. try to go a whole weekend without using your car.
Hi Gingerly and Gawky!
When phone chargers are left plugged in, they drain electricity - even without the phone attached!
To prevent waste, I bought a power strip for all of my various chargers (cell phone, camera, iPod, laptop, GPS, etc.)
Once your items are charged and unplugged, turn off the power strip and voila! No more waste! :-)
Instead of always using plastic bags buy the reusable ones at the store. They make some REALLY cute ones and they are sturdier than plastic bags too :)
