So, in my random online browsing of new eco-friendly products, I ran accross this nifty beverage company called NutriSoda. I love nutritious things and the occasional carbonated beverage, so I decided to request a few samples to review on TwoGirlsGoGreen.
So, how was it? Read on to find out more.
First off, let's talk about the company real quick:
The Nutrisoda product line includes eight unique nutrient-enhanced sparkling beverages, each combining natural fruit flavors, natural coloring, and water filtered four times for extra purity with meaningful levels of key vitamins, minerals and amino acids to deliver functional benefits and crisp, effervescent refreshment. Just as important as what's in each can is what's not. All Nutrisoda varieties – including Immune, Renew, Radiant, Calm, Focus, Flex, Energize and Slender – have zero sugar, zero aspartame, zero sodium, and zero to few calories.
Sounds good, but how did it taste? (Because, let's be honest, if it's nasty, most people won't drink it no matter how much better it is for the environment...)
Well, luckily for Nutrisoda, the taste was pretty impressive. At least in my opinion.
My personal favorites were Slender, Calm and Flex. The delicious berry and fruit flavors were fantastic. The minute you took the first sip you knew what you were drinking. (In fact, they reminded me of Clearly Canadian, a product I'm pretty sure you can't find around here anymore. Good stuff - try it if you ever get the chance.)
I shared the eco-friendly goodies with my fellow office staffers. General consensus was that they were pretty well-received. A couple people thought they were too weird to drink, and smelled randomly of Flintstones vitamins, but definitely not gross. Everyone else? Two thumbs way up.
My coworker "Montana" loved the design of the cans and the Flex flavor - "Package design: Catchy. Love the colors. Clean, refreshing design. Female –health conscious demo targeted (I feel). And I love Flex: Black Cherry & Apple: Delicious! Highly carbonated which is a major bonus. More satisfying than regular pop. Feels healthy. Doesn’t feel like I just consumed raw sugar. Doesn’t feel heavy in the tummy. Great product."
So, where can you buy these awesome beverages?
Nutrisodas are available nationwide at select retail stores, fine grocers, Target, Wal Mart Super Centers, national airports, hotels, cruise lines, restaurants, clubs, spa locations, schools, colleges and online.
